WHY? Making Sense of God’s Will – by Adam Hamilton (6 weeks: Feb. 8 – Mar. 21). When the ground shakes, and a poor nation’s economy is destroyed; when the waters rise, washing away a community’s hopes and dreams; when a child suffers neglect and abuse, where is God? If God is all powerful, and if each one of us is a beloved child of God, then how can God allow tragedy and suffering to infest his creation? In Why? Making Sense of God’s Will, best-selling author, Adam Hamilton, brings fresh insight to the age-old question of how to understand the will of God. Leader – Kevin Meyer

Relate – by Julie Hunt and Brent Hutchinson (4 weeks: Mar. 28 – Apr. 25). We will work through the premise that we were created to relate to each other. Sessions will consist of understanding relationships and why we need each other, how to grow in our relationships with God and others, the on-going process of investing in people’s lives, and what to do when relationships go awry. Leader – Scott McGarvey

Final Words from the Cross – A Lenten study by Adam Hamilton (7 weeks: Feb. 8 – Mar. 28). Come join us as we explore Jesus’ Final Words as seen and heard through the eyes and ears of those who stood near the cross. Take a closer look at Jesus’ words to the Disciples on the road to Emmaus and to those who were witnesses to the resurrection. Leader – Carol Whiting

United Methodist Beliefs (4 weeks: Mar. 28 – Apr. 25). Participants of this class will be taking a look at the history of our denomination, our social principles and the state of the church in 2012. We will explore what it means to be a member of FUMC and support it by our prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness. Leader – Mark Dickinson

Fearless by Max Lucado (6 weeks: Feb. 8 – Mar. 21). “Tired of doom and gloom? Ready to step out of fear once and for all? Fear sucks the life out of the soul and drains us dry of contentment. Wouldn’t it be great to escape it? According to Jesus, this is possible. Join us for a walk through “Fearless” by Max Lucado as we put the promises in God’s word into practice.” Leader – Kerri Moore

The Study and Practice of Prayer (4 weeks: Mar. 28 – Apr. 25). Learn to use scripture in prayer as we focus on four points of prayer ACTS: Adoration, Contrition, Thanksgiving and Supplication in order to make prayer a part of daily life. Leader – Kerri Moore

Study of Ephesians and Paul’s Other Prison Letters (10 weeks: Feb. 8 – Apr. 25). Our faith in Jesus Christ and walking with Him draws us to Spiritual Maturity. Being open to Him through the Holy Spirit changes our thinking on the inside and our outside behavior. His purpose is to prepare us to face the problems of living, by accepting His wealth and Power as we put on the full armor of God. Leader – John Dutill

Please sign up on the sheets at the back of the sanctuary. Note the dates of each class – you will have the opportunity to sign up for more than one class. We look forward to this WNL session as we continue on our faith journey and spend time in fellowship with our church family.
