CHILDREN’S MUSIC

Florence United Methodist Church has opportunities for everyone to participate in musical celebration.

Little Lambs (3 years – Kindergarten)

Location: L16 Multi-Purpose Room
Day/Time: Sundays, 4:00-4:30 pm

Little Lambs for 3-year-olds through Kindergartners. Our preschool choir offers opportunity to learn and worship through singing, playing instruments, movement, and sharing songs in worship services. For more information, contact Becky Morrison at Becky@florenceumc.com

Kings Kids (1st – 5th Grade)

Location: L18 Choir Room
Day/Time: Sundays, 4:00-4:45 pm

King’s Kids open to all children 1st-5th grade. Learning about music and worship, preparing songs and skits to share in worship services, and leading an annual Children’s Sabbath are the primary focus of this group.

 

 

ADULT MUSIC

Chancel Choir (9:00am Choir)

Location: Choir Room
Day/Time: Wednesday, 7:30-8:30pm

This choir provides worship leadership each Sunday morning in the 9:00am service and participates in special worship services seasonally.

All adults and high school students are invited to sing with this group. A variety of music is explored, including traditional anthems, hymn arrangements, gospel pieces and other musical styles.

Praise Team (Singers & Band)

Location: Sanctuary
Day/Time: Tuesdays 7:30-8:30pm

Worship leadership in the 11:00am service is the primary function of this vocal and instrumental ensemble.

Participation is by interview only; high school students through adults who are interested are welcome to contact Allison Williams at Allison@florenceumc.com

Orchestra

Our orchestra is open to all brass, woodwind, string, and percussion players, high school and older. This group meets to prepare seasonal music. Please contact Barry Holland, director.

 

Hand bells

Location: Choir Room
Day/Time: Wednesday Night 6:30-7:30 pm
The Hand bell Choir assists in worship services periodically throughout the year. Open to all adults and teenagers who read music, this ensemble rings three octaves. Those interested may contact Kelly Lindsey, director.
