Each Sunday, children who are three year old preschoolers through 5th grade are invited to meet from 10:10 – 10:45 beginning in the Children’s Chapel for music. They will then be taken, by their Sunday School teacher, to age appropriate Sunday School classrooms for a lesson. Curriculum is designed for a variety of learning styles to help children experience the Bible in ways they can understand.
Toddlers (18 months to 2 yrs) meet in the Nursery, from 10:10 – 10:45 on Sunday mornings. Activities include a Bible Story, an active game, a snack, arts and crafts, and songs of praise.
At FUMC, we believe that children learn about God from birth, and we teach this through music, stories, and the love of caring workers. All our staff have undergone background screening and are trained and experienced in the care of very young children, including CPR and first aid certification.
“Nursery is available during both 9 and 11 am services as well as for the Sunday School hour for babies and toddlers. Nursery is also often available for many other FUMC activities throughout the week such as small groups, women’s circles and Wednesday Night Life.
